Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Mr. Sergey Tirteniev, the Belarussian Ambassador in Egypt, and Dr. Mayada Bilal, Head of the Central Department for Cultural Cooperation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to activate the agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt and its counterpart in Belarus, which was signed by Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Minister of Higher Education of the State of Belarus
Through the university's signing of several cooperation agreements in various fields, including computers, information and the medical sector (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing), and ways of cooperation in the agricultural field, basic sciences and languages were discussed.
In the presence of Prof. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at the University, Prof. Dr. Maha Farouk, Dean of the University's College of Pharmacy, Prof. Muhammad Dia, Dean of the University's College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at the University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Director of International Relations Department.
El-Metiny said that the coming period will witness fruitful cooperation with the Embassy of Belarus to sign memoranda of understanding in various fields.
He added that the meeting also dealt with ways of joint cooperation in the field of vocational training and strengthening relations with industry partners, which provides training opportunities for students within major companies in Belarus in order to enrich the educational training process for university students, pointing to the possibility of benefiting from the Russian language department at Faculty of Al-Alsun in teaching University students the basic principles of learning the Russian language to facilitate understanding during their training in Belarus.
At the end of the meeting, El-Metini presented the university shield to the Ambassador of Belarus.
